New Oaks being planted in Pulaski!

DPW workers for the Village of Pulaski are planting Hybrid Oaks, that were specially developed by Cornell University for urban settings and are now being field tested in the Village on Maple Ave and in front of the Pulaski High School.

There is no superior species of oak that can thrive in every climate found in urban areas.
But a joint breeding program between Cornell University and the Landscape Plant Development Center has made it possible to have oak hybrids for streetscapes that are nearly perfect.  For more information on a “Better Oak”, please go to the Village of Pulaski or the Pulaski Public LIbrary Website for the link to “Building a Better Oak”.
